2004-2005 : A recordbeaking year for Dow
Dow’s LP7 polyethylene plant at Prentiss was very close to capacity, producing 585 million kilograms this year. However, growth will be limited due to limited feedstock sources, as available quantities are not enough at the moment to ramp up production at Prentiss.and the fact that the Prentiss PE plant is employing UNIPOL technology.
We assume that the plant is a Unipol PE reactor with a rated capacity of 600,000 tonnes per year. Startup date is unknown but probably around the year 2000.
