SIBUR Produces Russia’s First Coloured Grades of Polyethylene for Pipe Applications

In a first for Russia, ZapSibNeftekhim, SIBUR’s Tobolsk-based enterprise, has launched production of RC polyethylene grades in various colours for water and gas pipe.

The new RC grades are made of a particularly sturdy material, which gives pipelines an unprecedented service life. Pipelines made with these grades will serve society for up to 100 years, even if slightly damaged.

The grades will also substitute imports of raw materials from Europe and Asia. In the new normal, this will let us fully meet demand from Russia and the CIS.
