The INVISTA Kingston site receives key intermediates such as adipic acid and hexamethylenediamine (HMD) for nylon salt synthesis. Nylon salt is polymerized to produce nylon 6,6 resin in advanced batch and continuous polymerization technologies. The resin is processed into fibers and technical yarns with state-of-the-art spinning and drawing lines for high-tenacity fibers for end-use in automotive airbags, industrial textiles, and specialty applications.
