Les Raffineries Napierville Inc. owned and operated by PFX Group (once known as Recochem) is the only refiner of naphtalene in Canada and has been operating since 1960. The refinery also produces 1,4-dichlorobenzene and has implented in 2012 a new process for the distillation of glycol from recycled anti-freeze liquids, produced at other sites of the company. 

The small refinery was built in a small agricultural village and is not surrounded by any other chemical or industrial operations.
