Chalmette Refining, L.L.C. is the operating entity of the ~189,000 bpd Chalmette refinery in St. Bernard Parish, Louisiana, acquired by PBF from the ExxonMobil/PDVSA joint venture in 2015. The deep-conversion refinery processes heavy/sour crudes and hosts the St. Bernard Renewables renewable diesel unit (50/50 JV with Eni, ~20,000 bpd, startup 2023), one of the largest renewable diesel units in the United States. It is the named permittee on the refinery's environmental permits and regulatory filings.
