Hyundai Chemical Co., Ltd. is a strategic joint venture established in 2014 between HD Hyundai Oilbank (60% ownership) and Lotte Chemical (40% ownership). The company operates as a petrochemical affiliate of Hyundai Oilbank and represents the first joint venture between an oil refinery and a petrochemical company in Korea. 

Hyundai Chemical operates its primary facilities at the Daesan petrochemical complex in Seosan, South Chungcheong Province, located within Hyundai Oilbank's refining complex. The company has secured a competitive advantage through its vertically integrated network, supplying products to Hyundai Oilbank, Lotte Chemical, and other partners, creating synergies based on raw material supply and sales networks of both parent companies.
