SABIC has operated on Teesside since 2006, through its subsidiary, SABIC UK Petrochemicals Limited. SABIC UK Petrochemicals Limited has its headquarters based within the Wilton Centre, but has manufacturing and storage facilities located over three nearby sites, at Wilton International, Teesport and North Tees. The Wilton International site hosts our two main manufacturing plants: Olefins 6, Europe’s second largest ethylene ‘cracker’, and System 18, the world’s largest Low-Density Polyethylene plant. We manufacture chemicals such as ethylene, propylene and butadiene, the building blocks for the many everyday materials and plastics that we have come to rely on in our modern world.
