The first specialty chemical business within NCTI is SAS (Specialty Aromatic Solvents), located on the Pasadena Texas site. SAS’s product line is globally recognized in the markets they serve, the products include; high voltage capacitor fluid, heat transfer fluid, compressor wash oil, carbonless copy paper solvent, flame retardant solvents, solvents for fertilizer and insecticide applications, low odor/ low VOC formulary solvent applications, and proprietary chemistries that solve unmet needs of the customer. The second specialty chemical business onsite is ENB (Ethylidene Norbornene). A process for the manufacture of Ethylidene Norbornene (ENB) was developed in the 1970’s by our parent company (ENEOS).
