Adrian is also the headquarters of Wacker Chemical Corporation, WACKER’s North American subsidiary, responsible for our silicones business in North and Central America and the Andean region. Administration, finance, marketing, sales and technical departments are all based here, as well as a technical center and the WACKER ACADEMY. In June 2017, we opened a new state-of-the-art R&D center for silicones in neighboring Ann Arbor, where we develop new products for customers in the Americas. Adrian is located in a foreign trade zone (FTZ), a free trade area which offers a number of customs benefits.
