- Description
-
Polyolefin Elastomers have a density of 0.85 to 0.88-0.886 g/cm3 (depending on the source) and a melting temperature from 35 to approximately 80°C. They are mostly copolymers of Ethylene and 1-Butene since higher Linear Alpha-Olefins are required in too high molar concentration in the copolymer to lower the density below 0.88 g/cm3. According to the scientific literature, a POE with a density of 0.87 g/cm3 requires about 50 wt-% each of Ethylene and 1-Butene.
