Description

Polyyethylene Glycol is a synthetic, hydrophilic DI-functional and Linear Polymer. PEGs are synthesized using a Ring-Opening Polymerization of Ethylene Oxide to produce a broad range of molecular weights and molecular weight distributions (Polydispersity); however, discrete PEGs are synthesized with a single, specific molecular weight. The Linear Structure is obtained by employing a Difunctional Initiator such as Water or Ethylene Glycol.
