Site

‎At the refinery's second largest site in the Horst district, around 600 employees work on a site of 160 hectares. Horst is home to the Coker and Fluid Catalytic Cracking (FCC) facilities. Many products are produced in these plants that are necessary for further processing in chemical processes. In addition, there is crude oil distillation and vacuum distillation in Horst – both are the first product plants required to process the crude oil. Here, the crude oil is processed in such a way that it can be processed into the corresponding end products in the other plants.‎
