With a current capacity to process 39,750 barrels per day of crude oil (BPD), the Gualberto Villarroel Refinery is the refining plant with the highest oil processing capacity in the country. Built in 1948, this plant has two Catalytic Reformation Units with a total processing capacity of 13,600 BPD of MSR, having as its main objective the production of high-octane reformed gasoline (95 RON) to produce higher volumes of Special Gasoline (85 RON); It also has a Lubricants plant for the production of Base Oils and Automotive and Industrial Lubricating Oils whose production capacity is 2,200 m3/month. The production of lubricants and greases, with the YPFB brand, is carried out in the Lubricants Plant of this Refinery, and are marketed by YPFB Refinación S.A.
