The first installations for the oil refining were inaugurated in May 1958. Treatment capacity of 2,800,000.00 metric tons / year , or about 57,000.00 barrels per day. The fuels produced are shipped from the refinery, by land and sea, through a network of pipelines and sealanes, to Sonangol Distribuidora, which ensures its distribution and marketing.
