Sinopec Luoyang Branch is affiliated to Sinopec Group Co., Ltd. It started construction in 1978. It is the only 10 million ton-level integrated refining and chemical enterprise in the central region and the leading enterprise in the petroleum and petrochemical industry in Henan Province.

At present, the comprehensive refining processing capacity has reached 10 million tons. It has 39 sets of refining, chemical and chemical fiber equipment. The main products include more than 30 varieties and more than 50 brands such as gasoline, diesel, aviation kerosene, paraxylene (PX), purified terephthalic acid (PTA), polyester staple fiber, polypropylene resin, etc.

Luoyang Petrochemical currently has two polypropylene units, which use refinery propylene as raw material to produce polypropylene resin:

• Among them, the 1# polypropylene unit was designed by Italy's TPL Company and adopted the HYPOL process technology of Japan's Mitsui Chemicals. Its annual production capacity is 80,000 tons. Its main products include PPH-Y35, PPH-T03-S, transparent plate material PPH-M03T, etc.
• The 2# polypropylene unit adopts the domestically produced second-generation loop polypropylene process technology and uses Sinopec's catalyst system. It was completed and put into production in January 2013 with an annual production capacity of 180,000 tons. The extrusion granulation system of the unit adopts a pure additive addition system, which has the advantages of simple operation, flexible brand switching, and stable product quality. At present, the main products include PPH-Y35X, PPH-YJ40X, PPH-MN60, PPH-MN70, PPH-MN90B, PPH-MN15, PPH-MN150, PPH-MN220 and propylene-butane copolymer products, etc. The application scope includes homopolymer pipes, sheets, laminated products, BOPP films, high crystallization injection molding, etc.
