The origins of Siltronic’s traditional site in Burghausen span a period of more than 50 years. Here, at the largest chemical site in Bavaria, Siltronic’s success story began in 1953 with the production of the first high-purity silicon crystal, with a diameter of just 10mm. Today, in Burghausen in southeastern Bavaria, monocrystals are pulled and silicon wafers with diameters up to 300mm are manufactured for customers across the globe.
