The Ciwandan Asri Plant, operated by PT Chandra Asri Petrochemical Tbk, is Indonesia’s largest and most advanced integrated petrochemical complex, strategically located in Ciwandan, Cilegon, Banten province. The facility features the country’s first and, until recently, only naphtha cracker, with an annual ethylene production capacity of 900,000 metric tons, alongside 490,000 tons of propylene, 418,000 tons of pyrolysis gasoline, and 330,000 tons of mixed C₄s. The plant also houses major downstream units for polyethylene and polypropylene, as well as specialty chemical units for butene-1 (B1) and methyl tert-butyl ether (MTBE), both of which are undergoing a 25% capacity expansion to further support Indonesia’s domestic and export markets.

Covering over 115 hectares, the Ciwandan Asri Plant is equipped with modern infrastructure, including three jetties capable of berthing vessels up to 80,000 DWT, and is supported by dedicated power and water utilities.
