Functional Monomer Polymerization

Description

Ring-opening polymerization (ROP) is a form of chain-growth polymerization in which cyclic monomers are converted into linear or less-cyclic polymer chains by opening their ring structures, typically initiated by a reactive chain end (which may be radical, anionic, or cationic), and is often driven by the relief of ring strain or thermodynamic factors.
