Description

A fuel-fired power station, also known as a fossil fuel power station, generates electricity by burning mostly fossil fuels such as coal, oil, or natural gas. These power stations use the heat energy from the combustion of these fuels to produce steam, which drives turbines connected to generators. The generators then convert the mechanical energy into electrical energy.
