Short Name: Vicinals Separation
Description: The Vicinals Separation Column separates out the Toluenediamins with ortho Groups (Vicinals), which boil at slightly lower temperatures (2,3-TDA Boiling Point is 255°C; 3,4-TDA Boiling Point is 265°C) than the desired Product Amines (both 2,4-TDA and 2,6-TDA Boiling Point is 292°C). After removing the Vicinals, the TDA Stream is sent to the Heavy Ends Removal Column.
