- Description
- The Initiator is tranferred to the Reactor at a temperature of approximately 115ºC under Nitrogen atmosphere, where the Propylene Oxide (PO) is gradually added, by spraying. The high PO ring stress and its polar character allow easy Ring-Opening and the Chain Extension Polymerization to occur. This Reaction is strongly exothermic. A mixture of Propylene Oxide and Ethylene Oxide may be use as well.
