- Description
- The fresh feed 1 is combined with a heavy fraction 12 recirculated from the fractionation 8. The feed is mixed with hydrogen and directed to the guard bed phase of the reactor system 5 . The guard bed phase comprises bed(s) with active catalyst(s) for removal of harmful compounds such as metals and phosphorus. One or more of the guard beds may comprise a catalyst bed in which HDW catalyst is mixed with HDO catalyst. The harmful compounds are retained in the guard bed(s).
