Generic Catalytic Deoxygenation
Short Name
Pre-treatment Reactor
Description

The main reactions that occur in the pre-treating reactor are the hardest one like desulfurization and denitrification.
Due to the presence of CO2, CO, H2O and H2 water gas shift & reverse water gas shift reactions shall occur:

  • CO2 + H2 ➝ CO + H2O reverse gas shift➝
  • CO + H2O ➝ CO2 + H2 gas shift

For feedstock with nitrogen content higher than 300 ppm the inlet pressure is around 58-61 barg.
LHSV is 1.0-1.5 hr-1.
Temperature at reactor inlet is 350-355°C.
Maximum recommended temperature rise is around 40°C.
