The main reactions that occur in the pre-treating reactor are the hardest one like desulfurization and denitrification.
Due to the presence of CO₂, CO, H₂O and H₂ water gas shift & reverse water gas shift reactions shall occur:

• CO₂ + H₂ ➝ CO + H₂O reverse gas shift➝
• CO + H₂O ➝ CO₂ + H₂ gas shift

For feedstock with nitrogen content higher than 300 ppm the inlet pressure is around 58-61 barg.
LHSV is 1.0-1.5 hr^-1.
Temperature at reactor inlet is 350-355°C.
Maximum recommended temperature rise is around 40°C.
