Short Name
Ebullated Bed Reactor
Description

Pre-heated Oil Feed and Hydrogen are preheated and fed to the Ebullated-Bed Reactor.

Addition of a Second Reactor in Series is a common practice for achieving high conversion of Residues and improved catalytic performances.
In such a case, the liquid phase alone from the First Reactor is routed to the Second Reactor.
Spent Catalyst of the Second Reactor is used as Catalyst feed of the First Reactor, where most of the Demetallization reactions take place.
