- The high-temperature Gas flow from the Cracking Furnace passes initially through Transfer-Line Heat Exchangers and through a main Quench Tower to immediately halt further reaction and inhibit the build-up of Side-Products. The Tower separates light Gases from Heavier Fuels such as Fuel Oil.
