Yan'an Refinery and the co-located Yan'an Petrochemical Plant

The Yan'an Refinery (延安炼油厂) is a medium-sized crude oil refinery established in 1986 and located in Shaanxi Province. Operated by the Yanchang Petroleum Group Refining & Chemical Company — a wholly owned subsidiary of Shaanxi Yanchang Petroleum (Group) Co., Ltd. — it is the core refining facility of the Yan'an hub, with a CDU capacity of 5.6 million mt/yr and a Nelson Complexity Index of 6.84. The refinery is scheduled for decommissioning and replacement as part of the group's RMB 80.29 billion, 10 million mt/yr integrated refining and petrochemical project currently under environmental review.
