The mission of SONATRACH is to develop Algeria's significant hydrocarbon reserves. This major player in the oil industry draws its strength from its ability to be a fully integrated group across the entire hydrocarbon value chain.

• In the Upstream sector, SONATRACH operates, either through its own efforts or in partnership with foreign oil companies, some of the world's most important deposits in different regions of the Algerian Sahara.
• In terms of transport, the Group has an extremely dense pipeline network that today extends nearly 22,000 kilometers across the national territory. The Company has also developed four petroleum ports for hydrocarbon loading.
• In the Downstream sector, SONATRACH has six refineries in operation across the territory and two petrochemical complexes, four LNG liquefaction complexes and two GPL (LPG) separation complexes.
