The Base Oil Manufacturing Plant (“BOMP”) of HYUNDAI and SHELL Base Oil started the first operation in the second half of 2014 based on the license by an internationally verified company, Shell Global Solutions. The BOMP produces high-quality lube base oil and light gas oil products by processing the unconverted oil from the vacuum gasoil hydrocracking upgrading process through iso-dewaxing and hydrogenation facilities.
