The Ulsan PP plant is located in the southeastern port city of Ulsan and is one of the largest polypropylene production facilities in Asia. The plant began operations in 2021 and uses LyondellBasell’s fifth-generation Spheripol polypropylene process technology. It has an annual production capacity of 400,000 tons of polypropylene. The facility is designed to serve both domestic and broader Asian markets, supplying polypropylene for use in automotive components, injection molding, blow molding, and packaging films. The plant’s integrated setup with SK Advanced’s nearby propane dehydrogenation (PDH) plant ensures a reliable feedstock supply and efficient production.
