The production capacity of the refinery has increased from 170,000 barrels per day to 250,000 barrels per day. Also, the production of gasoline has increased by 12 million liters per day in exchange for the decrease in fuel oil production.
The feed of the refinery has changed from 100% sweet and light crude oil to a mixture of 55% light and 45% heavy crude oil. Refinery products are marketed with the specifications and quality of European 2004 and 2005 standards.
