Today, there is no trademarked Visbreaker Technology on the market, although it is available from different Technology Providers such as Shell, Lummus, Axens, Honeywell, Alfa Laval, KBR, etc.
In addition, the Technology is relatively standardized despite two Versions of the Technology being typically used: Coil Visbreaking and Soaker Visbreaking.
The only differences between these two Versions is that in case of the Soaker Visbreaker, the bulk of the Cracking Reaction occurs not in the Furnace but in a Drum located after the Furnace called the Soaker. Temperature and Duration of the Cracking Reaction may vary between the two Versions of the Technology, but the Basic Components (Units) remain the same.
For that reason, only one Generic Visbreaking Technology is created with its Units allowing to generate a Visbreaking Asset in any Production Plant Replicate or Project.
