Description

The Uniflex™ MC™ Slurry Hydrocracking Process finds its origin in the CANMET Hydrocracking Process developed in the mid-1970s at the Energy Research Laboratories of the Canadian Centre for Minerals (CANMET).

The Process converts Vacuum Residue and other Heavy Feedstocks into higher-valued distillable Products employing high activity Molybdenum based MicroCat™ Catalyst. The Catalyst is produced on site from readily available Commodity Chemicals.

The typical Uniflex Process flow scheme is similar to that of a conventional UOP Unicracking Process unit. The heart of the Uniflex Process is its Upflow Reactor, which operates at moderate temperature and pressure (435-470°C and 140 bar, respectively).
