In the Dow METEOR® Technology, EO is produced from the Direct Oxidation of Ethylene using a proprietary Ag-based, promoted Catalyst. Ethylene conversion is 8 to 13% and EO selectivity is 89%. The METEOR® Process is a Technology first commercialized in 1994 by Union Carbide Corp.
