Technology Unit

The separated Polymer Powder (Bottom) from Gas/Solid Separator is delivered to a Purge Tower where Residual Monomers (2,000-3,000 ppm) are stripped with injected Nitrogen and Steam to neutralize the Catalyst Residues. Then, Polymer Powder comes out of the Purge Tower Bottom by gravitational force and is fed into a downstream Extrusion Unit. The Vrnted Material from the Purge Tower (Distillate) is sent to a small Recovery Operation.^[1]
