On October 26, PetroChina Guangxi Petrochemical's 1.2 million tons/year ethylene plant was officially put into operation. Qualified products were produced the next day, and the plant was successfully started in one go.

Guangxi's mixed feed cracker employs indigenous cracking technology (HQC Steam Cracking) developed by PetroChina's subsidiary China Huanqiu Engineering Co., Ltd.
