Description

Mubadala Investment Company is the sovereign wealth fund of the Government of Abu Dhabi, wholly owned by the Emirate and mandated to generate sustainable long-term financial returns while supporting the diversification of Abu Dhabi's economy.

Established in 2002 as Mubadala Development Company PJSC, it was merged in October 2017 with the International Petroleum Investment Company (IPIC) to form the current Mubadala Investment Company. It is one of the world's largest sovereign wealth funds, managing a portfolio currently valued at $385 billion (AED 1,414 billion), spanning six continents and multiple sectors and asset classes. The company invests with an entrepreneurial mindset, combining long-term capital deployment with deep sectoral expertise and active ownership of its portfolio companies. It employs approximately 55,000 people across its portfolio entities worldwide.
