Sadara Chemical Company is a joint venture between Saudi Aramco and Dow, incorporated in October 2011 and headquartered in Jubail Industrial City II, eastern Saudi Arabia. With a total capital investment of approximately $20 billion, it ranks as the largest integrated chemical complex ever built in a single phase anywhere in the world, home to the only mixed-feed cracker in the GCC capable of processing both ethane and naphtha, giving Sadara a uniquely flexible feedstock base and enabling it to produce a broader range of derivatives than any other petrochemical complex in Saudi Arabia..

The complex comprises 26 manufacturing units producing more than three million metric tonnes per year of value-added chemicals and polymers. Its product slate is notably diversified for the region, encompassing polyurethane precursors — including isocyanates (MDI, TDI) and polyether polyols — as well as propylene oxide, glycols, amines, elastomers, and a range of polyethylene and polypropylene grades. Many of these products were manufactured in Saudi Arabia for the first time following Sadara's commissioning.

Sadara's output primarily serves downstream industries in packaging, hygiene, automotive, construction, water treatment, and personal care. The company plays a central role in the development of PlasChem Park, a dedicated downstream industrial zone adjacent to the complex, designed to attract converters and specialty manufacturers that transform Sadara's base chemicals into finished goods. Through this integrated model, Sadara supports Saudi Arabia's industrial diversification strategy and the objectives of Vision 2030.
