Kalundborg Refinery A/S is a Danish private limited company (A/S) and the legal entity through which Klesch Group operates Denmark's largest oil refinery. It was originally incorporated on 26 October 2006 as the Danish refining subsidiary of Equinor (then Statoil), under the name Equinor Refining Denmark A/S. Klesch Group acquired 100% of the entity from Equinor on 31 December 2021 for a reported $7.87 million, with the company rebranded as Kalundborg Refinery A/S with effect from 1 January 2022.

Scope of Operations

Beyond the refinery itself, the company encompasses a pier and workshop in Kalundborg, and two product terminals: one in Kalundborg and one in Hedehusene, near Copenhagen, which supplies the greater Copenhagen area via two dedicated pipelines from Kalundborg. The company employs over 400 people across these four locations.
