Description

BP Refinery (Kwinana) Pty Ltd is the site-level legal entity within BP’s Australian group holding the Kwinana facility, located south of Perth, Western Australia. The company operated the ~146,000 b/d Kwinana Refinery — Australia’s largest — until refining ceased in March 2021. The site now functions as a fuel import terminal and was being redeveloped as the Kwinana Energy Hub, with planned renewable diesel and sustainable aviation fuel (HEFA) production and green hydrogen projects. The project  has apparently been “paused in 2024” pending confirmation of cancellation. The company is wholly owned within the BP group, ultimately controlled by BP p.l.c. (UK).
